MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

Hi, i am ANNIE
I’m a Northampton based Photographer who works all over the UK (or further if you want to put me on a plane).
The right side of 90 but the wrong side of Middle Age – I’ve been a photographer for 40 years. I’ve seen it all. Done it all. And even got awards for some of it ; Twice Documentary Wedding Photographer of the Year, Twice Pet Portrait Photographer of the Year, Once Lifestyle and Location Portrait Photographer of the Year and once Wildlife Photographer of the Year.
Currently juggling being a Farmers Wife, being a new Grandma, looking after my 93 year old Mum who lives alone and is as stubborn as the day is long and controlling a mop of naturally curly hair that defines every hair product known to man.
So – whatever you’re thinking might be a disaster if you book – I can probably cope.
” Annie is my “go to” photographer, making what can be a nerve wracking experience fun. She has photographed so many of my beloved pets, capturing their personalities and the bond we share so beautifully, all while highlighting the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside.
I can not recommend her enough.
She is a delight!”

THE REALITY
behind the scenes
The reality of a session is that I will make it work for you.
If I’m coming to YOU I know that you will not have a studio on site. I know that you will be panicking. I know that you think I’ll never make it work in the space you have available. I know you think your dogs/horses/children/husband will be an utter nightmare and not behave. I know the weather forecasters will have got it wrong.
I’ve done it for 40 years.
It’s my job to make it work. It’s your job to be present.
And to marvel at how my hair will go from relatively normal to brillo-pad status the moment it rains
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
What Fuels Me
the key elements that inspire my work.
Capturing Unique Little Moments of Now
My photography is rooted in authentic storytelling. It is soft and observational and real. ‘The Stories of Us’ – the Human Race
The most beautiful images are nothing to do with what you look like. They are nothing to do with what you wore, or how well you did your make-up or whether you got your hair done before you came.
The most beautiful images are the ones that show who you are.
I love what I do. It is my life. My job. My Happy Place. And my passion.
And I absolutely ADORE it when I witness that in someone else. I don’t care if your passion is long rambling walks through the woods with your dog, or going hunting on a freezing cold November morning, or cuddling up to the children on the sofa or the little tiny micro business you started last month from your garden shed.
THAT is where I want to be.
THAT is what I want to photograph.
Honest work done in long days that are measured in acres and not in hours.
Real people. Feral children. Dogs, Horses, Cattle, Chickens and Pigs.
Take me to the places where the wild things live.
Before they are lost for ever
We are the most photographed generation in the history of our species with some estimates suggesting that over 20 trillion photos have been taken in the last 10 years.
And yet we have less printed images than the Victorians.
One day someone WILL look for photographs of you. They will want to see the REAL you. Not the airbrushed, filtered, tweaked and perfected selfie that you took 100 times to get just one that you liked.
They will want to see YOU.
Don’t disappoint them
